Welcome to the Year of the Rabbit!

Last week I taught the P.1 students about "Hui Chun". These are lucky messages written on red rectangular paper. The messages are usually four Chinese words long and people like to hang these around their homes to bring good luck.

The lesson was as much a Chinese lesson for me as it was an English lesson for the kids. They had to teach me to read the messages written on the Chinese Hui Chun while I taught them to read the English translation. I think the students found my Chinese pronunciation rather amusing :P
